5 Must Have Wardrobe Basics

It doesn't take a lot of flashy pieces to look stylish. Below I've listed items that have been found in closets and stores for the past several decades, so you shouldn't have to worry about them going out of style any time soon.

These basics are well...pretty basic, but definitely worth reminding you of their amazing potential.

5 Wardrobe Basics

  • Denim Shirt

I wear my denim shirt at least a few times every week! It's so versatile.

  • Striped Shirt

Typically just your average black + white striped shirt, but any color can work for this classic pattern!

  • Dark Denim Jeans

From dressy to casual and everything in between, dark denim jeans are a closet staple!

  • Plain Tee (White or otherwise)

The classics would be white, grey, or black (or all of those). But choose the color you like! I don’t tend to wear white a lot because I’m afraid I’ll stain it, and I’ve never been a huge fan of black. Grey, now I do like grey, but not on a hot sweaty kind of day. So my plain tee is a dusty pink. Go with the color that’s YOU!

  • Confidence

Yes. Confidence is a wardrobe MUST! (So much so, that I've created a whole post about it! Check it out HERE!)

You can have the best outfit on the block, but if you don't have confidence then you'll be stuck WORRYING about your outfit instead of simply WEARING it. Matthew 6:25 says “...Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?” Worrying is pointless, especially worrying about your clothes. At the end of our lives when we look back on all the outfits we ever wore, we’ll realize that that’s all we did...we wore some clothes. Whoop de doo. So don’t stress about your outfits too much! Like I said in the beginning, you likely have all of these items in your closet so you already have the potential to be just as stylish as the next gal! Don't over think it! Throw on some clothes, get out there and KILL IT! ;)
